This project was interesting and that I really liked it because I used to be ready to identify myself as a current student of some mistakes that foreign-language speakers make. I learned how important it's to concentrate on the pronunciation part, proper pronunciation is that the key to mastering the English language. Without correct pronunciation, the vocabulary that I do know is going to be less effective when communicating. it's always better to understand fewer words and pronounce them well than to understand tons of words and pronounce them badly. Also, exercises are definitely the simplest thanks to learning pronunciation, and that I observed this during this homework. a drag that was encountered as learners of a second or foreign language the maternal language interferes within the learning of another language and more in its pronunciation. we'd like to remember what pronunciation entails so that we will work on those areas which will be problematic thanks to our language background.
As future teachers, my partner and that I did some exercises which will help improve pronunciation in terms of 4 mistakes that are usually made, practicing is that the best thanks to correct these mistakes. I think that I had no problem identifying mistakes because as an English student, I can see in myself the mistakes that I make daily in pronunciation and this project helped me tons to understand them. well, once I was doing the exercises I noticed how our teachers strive to try to do exercises to assist us to improve pronunciation, I actually liked feeling sort of a teacher and searching for a methodology to show others.
Well, I feel the strengths of this project was indicated that errorful learning followed by corrective feedback is useful to learning in other words, I realize that there are many pronunciation errors, and searching for exercises I understand that I even have been studying and see the way to improve that error. I decide to use this experience doing exercises to enhance my pronunciation and as a future teacher use this sort of exercise for my students and help them; Finally, in my case during this project it's clear to me and that I know that I will be able to not make the mistakes that I used to be learning. In summary, the simplest thanks to learning pronunciation are to spot the error and appearance for tactics to correct that mistake, in other words practicing, practicing.

Personally, I really liked the experience of being able to observe and detect
pronunciation errors in English students, my partner and I try to focus on some
of the mistakes that we make and also taking into account some that we have
heard in other colleagues, I also liked being able to develop exercises that
somehow help students to improve their pronunciation and correct those mistakes
that are made every day. Some of the problems that I observed while carrying
out the project was that as Spanish speakers our mother tongue somehow
interferes and at the same time makes a kind contrast in learning English, I
can say that it is a bit difficult because the sound and the articulation of
the oral cavity is not the same as in the Spanish language, although there is
also some contrast in some words, most of the words in English are unknown at
the phonological level.
I think I had no problem identifying mistakes because as an English student, I can see in myself the mistakes that I make daily in pronunciation and this project helped me to realize them, at the time of elaborating the exercises I found the power fun doing them, I felt like a teacher who was creating material for her students. I can say that this project has a great objective, which is to improve the pronunciation of students, which is the fundamental part of learning for us as students and also for new generations, that is why as a future teacher I would like to use this project with my students, because it would be very helpful for them as it was for me on this occasion.
As a suggestion, I can only say that it would be very good to be able
to increase the number of errors and also the exercises, in order to cause a
greater impact on the pronunciation of the students. Finally, I say that it was
a great project that shows us that mistakes help us to continue learning on this
wonderful path of knowledge, and that with disposition, practice, and effort, it
is possible to correct pronunciation errors.
Hello dear friends!
ReplyDeleteLet me tell you that your blog is very nice, interesting and also has very useful information. I am struck by the pronunciation error of the consonant S, this error is very common when I pronounce certain words, many times when a word begins with S, I add an E before since this happens to me because in Spanish the words do not begin with S if not they always have a vowel before. I think that the activity of the tongue twister is effective to be able to solve this pronunciation error more successfully.
Good job girls!
